Arriving to Class

A few general reminders:
  • Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the class and let teacher know if you have injuries or ailments.
  • We supply yoga mats or you may bring your own.
  • Heavy meals should be eaten at least 3 hours before class and light meals one and a half hours before.
  • Try not to drink fluids 20 minutes before class and definitely not during class - sip water after class to aid the detoxification after a yoga class.
  • Please remember yoga is not competition, every day will be different for every body. Be happy in your own practice and do not compare yourself to others.
  • Do not push yourself too hard, do not go past the edge of pain and understand the difference between good and bad pain. If there is a burning sensation it is probably good pain. If it is sharp pain, cramping then slowly come out of the posture. Only you know what your body is feeling and its thresholds.
  • As you bring yourself into each pose connect with your breath, allow it to override mind and relax.
Where the breath goes the prana follows!
It is preferable you bring a towel with you.
