Yoga Classes at Sawtell CWA

All classes are run through the school terms.

My unique classes are gentle yet strong, a therapeutic style of yoga (internal alchemy) which changes with the seasons. Focusing on stretching and strengthening the mind, body, emotions and breath.

I give you the benefits of the postures and help you work through your ailments.  This is not your general vinyassa flow yoga, it is more traditional hatha and the fundamentals of tantra for internal healing.
 
We enhance the flow of the lymphatic system ridding toxin and unwanted patterns.  With an accent of Chi Kung, sound, visualisation and bandhas, your energy will move deeply and increase naturally.
 
I have been teaching yoga for 30 years and also run local, interstate and overseas retreats for deep shifts and transformation.  
TEENAGER'S CLASSES

Understanding the difficulties teenagers run into as they work through their formative years, when the rational part of the brain (frontal lobe) is still dormant but the (base lobe) part of the brain of deep emotions and fight and flight are full steam ahead, they find difficulty in controlling their words, emotions and feelings.

I work with teens to help bring awareness and some control to this difficult stage, using breathing techniques, postures and meditative awreness, giving them responsibility to contain and balance themselves.

After rearing my sister's 3 children and now my own and being a large part of their friends lives, I understand that balance is difficult and a work in progress.  The key is to develop trust and understand this age, remembering that we were once there,  even though it was a different era we were still there.
